Accessibility Statement

107.design is committed to making this website usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. This statement describes our approach and how to reach us if you hit a problem.

Our goal: the Site aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 AA, and we work toward WCAG 2.2 AA where feasible — consistent with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882), and similar requirements in the markets we serve.

1. Our commitment

Accessibility is part of how we design, not an afterthought — we build accessible sites for clients for a living, so the standard here is high. We test the Site with keyboard-only navigation, screen readers (including VoiceOver and NVDA), and reduced-motion settings, and we review it on an ongoing basis as we update it.

2. Accessibility features in place

Keyboard navigation: every interactive element — links, buttons, accordions, the menu — is reachable and operable with the keyboard alone.
Visible focus: a clear focus indicator is shown on all interactive elements when navigating by keyboard.
Skip link: "Skip to content" is the first focusable element on every page.
Screen reader support: semantic HTML landmarks, descriptive alt text on meaningful images, aria-labels on icon-only controls, and aria-expanded/aria-hidden on menus and accordions.
Reduced motion: the Site fully supports prefers-reduced-motion — animations, parallax, marquees, and the custom cursor are disabled or simplified, and scroll behavior becomes instant.
Color & contrast: text meets WCAG contrast requirements against the Site's backgrounds; the custom cursor glow is decorative and never carries meaning.
Touch & coarse pointers: the custom cursor is disabled on touch devices, so native touch behavior is never obscured.
Accessible content: the gated case-study form has labeled inputs, error messages, and a lockout flow that announces itself.

3. Known limitations

We are aware of a few areas that may not fully meet WCAG AA and are working on them:

Custom cursor: on desktop with a fine pointer, the decorative custom cursor replaces the system cursor. It carries no meaning and is disabled for keyboard users, but some users prefer their own cursor settings — the native cursor is restored on hover of text-heavy regions and on all touch devices.
Animated type and marquees: decorative text reveals and the rotating marquee are reduced under prefers-reduced-motion, but at default settings they are motion-heavy by design.
Encrypted case studies: protected content is decrypted in the browser with Web Crypto, which requires a secure (HTTPS) context; on insecure connections we say so rather than failing silently.
Legacy portfolio images: a small number of screenshots from older client projects may lack fully descriptive alt text.

We aim to respond to accessibility requests within 5 business days. If we can't resolve the issue quickly, we'll give you a timeline and an interim workaround. We treat accessibility issues as bugs, which means we fix them.

5. Review

This statement is reviewed whenever the Site changes materially, and at least annually.
